Ujung Kulon National Park : A World Heritage

Ujung Kulon National Park constitute tropical rainforest ecosystem delegation lowland which remains and most extent at Javanese, and constitutes ideal habitat for satwa’s viability rhino scarce Java (Rhinoceros sondaicus) and satwa scarce another. Available three ecosystem type at this national park which is waters ecosystem goes out to sea, swamped ecosystem, and continent ecosystem.

Baduy Village : Life in harmony with nature is wisdom attendant world

Baduy are community that names her “person of silvan kanekes” are a group young malay race sundanese one carry on life in peace be at one with nature at Banten south. At acreage as extensive as 5,101. 85 ha. society group that total 7828 souls at year 1997 it, split up in three groups: baduy in (urang tangtu), baduy is extern (urang panamping) and baduy pajaroan (urang pajaroan).

Karangantu Harbor: the chief port of the Kingdom of Banten, and one of the busiest ports in Asia

Banten on a map looked the ideal port. The city was located on the confluence of two great international seaways, the Malacca and Sunda Straits, which were kept under almost total control by Bantenese possessions in the South of Sumatra. It had a large roadstead-18 kms wide and 10 kms deep-with calm waters protected from the open sea by a number of islets and islands. The river that watered this area not only created  a natural port, but also offered a convenient way to the plain under cultivation which formed and hinterland.

The river cibanten, which took its source from the Gunung Karang, about thirty kilometers south of Banten, divided into two arms before reaching the sea. Both mouths formed ports, the “international” port in the west, and the local port, called Karangantu, in the east. (more…)
